What Is Female Reserve?
Female Reserve is a women's health research and technology venture focused on female healthspan and ovarian/endocrine aging.
Female Reserve is a women's health research and technology venture exploring how ovarian and endocrine aging interact with brain, bone, muscle, metabolism, cardiovascular health, skin, sleep, energy and sexual health across a woman's life.
What Female Reserve is
It combines scientific research, longitudinal thinking and technology development to build better ways for women to understand and protect long-term health. The work is research and education first — community and understanding before any app or product.
What 'Reserve' means
'Reserve' is the capacities a woman has built — bone, muscle, brain, metabolic, cardiovascular, sexual — that she wants to keep. It is a guiding concept, not a validated medical score. Female Reserve does not sell a test or a number.
What the venture studies
How ovarian and endocrine aging interact with brain, bone, muscle, metabolism, cardiovascular health, skin, sleep, energy and sexual health across a woman's life — treating these as one connected system rather than separate departments.
Why 'Women don't age in departments'
Medicine has studied women's bodies in silos — gynecology here, cardiology there, psychiatry elsewhere. But the systems talk to each other. Female aging is one connected process, and treating it as anything less misses the whole picture.
Why female healthspan is broader than fertility or menopause
Fertility and menopause matter, but female healthspan spans the whole life. The changes that define midlife begin years before menopause and continue long after.
What Female Reserve is not
- Not a military organization.
- Not an ovarian reserve test or a fertility clinic.
- Not a validated medical score or a diagnostic device.
- No consumer product has launched; no medical claims are made.
Founder and direction
Female Reserve was founded by Lorrayne Ribeiro. The direction is community and research first — building understanding before any app or product, and never claiming scientific validation that does not yet exist.
